Level Designer / Game Designer

Crime Boss: Rockay city

I was focused in single the single player experience, doing the story character missions. Each character has his or her own story, divided into several chapters. In several of these chapters I was in charge of the level design and game design, scripted all the events, level balancing and give the personality to each level fitting with the character.

Dishorder

Cracker story mission 3

Cracker is James Bond on steroids. In this mission he must infiltrate a Contas base in Nicaragua. Once there he must get hold of the satellite, hack it and use it to track the location of a submarine in the Arctic.

The player will arrive in a hang glider landing at one of the different possible points. From there, he will be able to perform the mission in stealth or in action. When he takes control of the satellite, he will have to withstand waves of enemies until he gets the coordinates. Once you get the coordinates, you will pick up your laptop and jump from the cliff by parachute, ending the mission.

Break out

Jupiter story mission 5

Jupiter, the monster, is a steroid addict. In the last level of her story she gets caught by the police to be taken to the police station. There she unleashes chaos and kills the corrupt investigator and ends her revenge.

 

As a main reference in this level, it is clearly the police station scene from Terminator 1, where the Terminator unleashes chaos in a police station with a shotgun while advancing like a monster.

As the main reference and wink to the 90s, it sought to generate that feeling of being someone very superior with a bestial combat force in very small environments with a shotgun.

While the player advances using first her fists, then a pistol to finish with a shotgun will advance through the police station while looking for the detective. Once he eliminates him he will have to look for the keys of a helicopter to escape. Once he finds them, he must climb to the roof and flee in the helicopter.

The Red Star

Ranger story mission 5

Ranger is a US veteran who fought in the Vietnam War but suffers from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).  In this mission, after waking up from his coma, he decides to enter a van with his m60 hooked to the roof to get the Red Star, a fist-sized ruby that he found in the war but was stolen when he was betrayed by his captain. 
 

This level mixes elements of Vietnam from previous levels (Ranger's levels in the game are flashbacks of his most traumatic moments during the Vietnam War) with elements of the present, so we see mountains on the horizon, vegetation that does not fit and the enemies are mixed between SWATs and Vietnamese.
 

Clearly, this level is a reference to Rambo and can be seen in moments like when he uses the machine gun against an army of Vietnamese and confuse reality with war.
 

In this level the player must withstand the waves of Vietnamese (who are actually swats) while searching for his precious Red Star. When he finds it, he has a moment of lucidity where he observes all the massacre he has generated but comes to himself until he flees through the tunnels he has dug to escape.

Tiny rope

Wiz story mission 4

Wiz is a hacker who, after stealing millions of dollars from banks by hacking into their systems, has to spend some time in jail. When he gets out, he has to launder the money while people who owe him money and people who know how rich he is, they go after him.
 

In this level, Wiz is already out of jail and is looking at his bank accounts when some hitmen come after him. Wiz has to flee while destroying all his evidence, so they can't find him and his money. This all ends with a climax as he moves along a wire connecting his building to another in order to save himself.

The Gym

Jupiter story mission 3

Jupiter and his father know that steroid dealers are out to get them. They decide to flee to Mexico with their savings, but just before a police raid attacks them. In this attack, her father dies, but she manages to flee with her savings. Now, Jupiter decides to stay in Rockay city to avenge her father.
 

This level is designed with a back and forth design, where the player has to go through the gym without difficulty but when he reaches the other end he will be completely blinded while SWAT tries to prevent him from running away.
